Same issue for me as well. New PC, fresh install of Windows 11, new mouse too. Every shut down I have to wait for “RazerAppEngine Window”

Same problem for months. Synapse 4 and windows 11
I already removed everything RAZER and reinstalled several times.
 

Can we get a reply from someone about a possible fix coming? This is ridiculous at this point

Its not the right solution, razor should fix it, but create a shortcut on your desktop and run it when you want to shutdown

same issue and really anoying when I have to go and pack up my laptop which now can be found overheating in my back pack!!!

I'm shocked that it isn't fixed or even a acknowledged by the devs.

Same here. RazerAppEngine is preventing from shutdown. And with a little more waiting, my notebook shuts down.

This shouldn't be. Why isn't this fixed already? What's preventing this in the ‘Windows system’?

the devs are not using windows 10/11 apis, components, methods to execute a graceful shutdown. synapse 3 never had this problem. please fix it.

I was still running version 3, but new pc, so installed latest version. Can’t believe 6 months later since this topic was started and it is still an issue.

I haven't tried Synapse 3 (I'm afraid I might lose my profiles and settings).

Do you guys know if with Synapse 3 this issue with RazerAppEngine on shotdown also occurs? Or is it just Synapse v4?

The promo-talk is about “improved system stability”, but with these errors and messages like this it's far from that I guess...

Same problem here on the latest Razer Blade 16 2025 too. 

Came here today to share the same issue. Brand new Legion Win11 and it does this on every shutdown or restart.

They obviously don't care. People have been posting for over a year.

This forum is not monitored by Razer. We’d all have to call them and complain. 

Got a reaction from Razer Support on this:

“I would like to inform you that if the message appears for a few seconds during shutdown, this is normal behaviour. “

I don't really think this is the case, right?

It’s not normal. No other laptop in the world does this. Lol 

Synapse 3 is doing fine; thus no “RazerAppEngine is preventing from shutdown” when restarting or shut down.

You can file a bug report. This is what I have done. I even have listed this thread.

Although, I'm still under the impression this message shouldn't come up in v4 in the first place, and/but if so should be fixed by Razer.

Aha. That's another way to put it for Razer's staff and get away with bad programming: “(...) that the behavior you observed isn’t considered a critical issue with Synapse 4.”

But… why didn't all this happen in Synapse v3 than?
